I'm a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. We just concluded a conference beginning Thursday ending this morning (Sunday) in Williamsburg, VA. It is fascinating to hear the reports of what the different chapters accomplish each year: Literacy, Patriotism, Preservation. I am a bit exhausted though. It's a lot of information but great to meet up with long time friends. When we get together, we often get on our cell phones and play with the FamilySearch.org app. As long as we have a pretty detailed tree, it is amazing to find out who we might be related to by using the app. We open the app, click on the menu, click on Find Relatives Around Us, click on scan now and you might get a list of a number of people you are kin to. Of course, it could b e 15 generation back but it's still fund to find relatives.
